| about 11pm Why: The firewalls need to be migrated because the current hardware they are on is approaching end of life. What is changing: The hardware only. Firewall context rules will be copied and verified on the new hardware prior to the migration. At the time of the cutover, network traffic will be directed to the new firewall rather than the old one. Impact: During the actual migration, we expect to have a 1-2 minute interruption in traffic through the firewall. At that time active firewall session states will be lost but most protocols handle re-establishing these automatically. |
