Today's demonstration: "Projects" (com_projects) by Alissa Nedossekina
Projects (com_projects) is a new project-management/collaboration tool. Whether working on a new funding proposal, research paper or developing an application, projects are a great way to manage your data, workflow and communication.
Projects can be created by groups or individual users, and may include multiple groups in the team. With each project you get:
- a Git-based repository for data and apps with a simple built-in web browser;
- a Wiki area for project notes;
- To-do list management;
- a Facebook-like microblogging tool providing a stream of project updates from all team members, with the ability to comment on certain activities.
Still in the works is an application management tool (adieu, contribtool!), and a mechanism to publish project materials of different kind as hub publications (former "resources"), as well as several other features meant to facilitate collaboration and make your project a success.

The Hub Owners' Forum is a venue for hub owners to:
- interact with the HUBzero team;
- get the inside scoop on new development/upcoming features;
- showcase their hub and share success stories and challenges with fellow hub owners;
- learn from tutorials.
This is a regular meeting that occurs every second Monday of each month. |
