Main menu disappearing when select “url” submenu items
I’m adding menu items to the main menu but the main menu disappears when I select menu items of type “URL” (added as external links for example to point to /contribute)
If I select “All” in the menu assignment of the corresponding module, everything works fine but I can’t do that since I’ve other menus that I want to display in the same position.
Help!

So let me get this straight – you want the main menu to appear only on the home page and cannot add external link items to the main menu?

This was what worked for me for a link to resources:
index.php?option=com_resources&view=intro&id=0
I got it by clicking
New -> Resources -> Intro -> Section Layout
You would do something similar for any internal link on your hub to get the header and footer on the page.

In other words you have to drill down in
Select Menu Item Type
to the point of selecting the layout. Then you’ll get the proper URL.
