xHUB Internal Error: Unable to create Hubzero_User_Profile record
Hello Everybody
I have installed hUbzero. And it was working fine. Initially it was easy to register for a new user. But later on whenever a new user try to register hubzero giving the following error “xHUB Internal Error: Unable to create Hubzero_User_Profile record”
I don’t known why i am getting this error. kindly help me out..

This is normally caused by an issue with LDAP. To do a simple test, run the command ‘getent passwd’ as root on the server. You should see all of your users including some for the system itself that display first. If you don’t see an ‘apps’ user then your LDAP system is probably not running. If this is the case, try running the following commands: /etc/init.d/slapd stop /etc/init.d/slapd start nscd -i passwd nscd -i group /etc/init.d/nscd restart
Then run the ‘getent passwd’ command to see if your users show up.
If the output from the getent passwd command looks ok, please open a ticket so that we can better assist with this specific case.
