A bug in hubzero-mysql installation?
Hello hubzero community.
I am trying to install hubzero version (1.3.0) software on debian Wheezy. I am following the instruction outlined at http://hubzero.org/documentation/current/installation. However when I reach the following stage
#DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive apt-get install -y hubzero-mysql
I get an error as shown below.
[===>Here there is a long log of apt-get installing required packages]
After this operation, 0 B of additional disk space will be used.
Setting up hubzero-mysql (1.2.0-1+deb7) ...
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
dpkg: error processing hubzero-mysql (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
hubzero-mysql
I checked whether mysql was running but it wasn't, so I started the mysql service manually then I ran the previous command and this time it succeeded (i.e there was no error displayed). However I wonder if this is the way things are intended to happen. So I am posting to know if there is anyone who has seen this scenario before and if there is some way it can be rectified.

For what its worth I don't think we've seen that error before during installation. I'll try to look into it.
