How to correct Events calendar date year

I seem to be having a problem with the Events (Calendar) module in HUBZero 1.1.3. After adding an event to the Events calendar, when a user clicks on “More Events” and is taken to the page with URL /events/2013/12 the calendar itself displays breadcrumbs for “2014/12” and apparently attempts to load events for December 2014 (even if there are none to display for that month). Clicking on the “year” marker on the right hand side does not affect the date on the displayed page although the URL does change to /events/2013/12 or /events/2015/12 depending on which arrow you press. Clicking the arrow buttons to advance the month does advance the month, but items show up apparently there is a mis-synching of the URL and the date show on the page because events with dates from January 2014 show up with URL /events/2013/01.

If I delete every event from the calendar, then there is no problem. Clicking “More Events” simply takes you to the events page and it reports there are no events to show. Pressing the advance/decrease year button on the right hand side does work properly…the page itself changes to indicate a new year and the URL also changes to the proper year indicator. The advance/decrease month buttons on the right hand side also work properly.

Has anyone else noticed this? Any advice of where to be looking to correct this behavior? It’s happening on my virtual machine test image and my production server.

Update: I have also tested this on the Virtual Image with V1.3. The Events Calendar exhibits similar incorrect behavior I described above.

So, it seems the calendar / events module seems not to work in either version. Does it work for anyone? Did you have to do anything special to make it work correctly?
