How do i connect my ldap to my hub ?
Hello,
I’m new and i’m sorry fo my probably stupid question !
How do i connect ma ldap-server (still running on a machine) to identify users on Joomla-hubzero ?
I try to install JMapMyLDAP but not successfully : xml file problem ! I tried several ways but still not working.

HUBzero works natively with its own LDAP server instance which mirrors the basic user/group tables from the hub’s MySQL database. if you want to authenticate against a remote ldap server you would have to create a 3rd party authentication plugin for HUBzero which then creates a link between the remote identity and a local hub account with all the associated complications dealing with linked accounts. We have plugins for logging in with Facebook, google, LinkedIn. I don’t think I have one for external ldap right now.
Joomla authentication plugins will not work with HUBzero, the login infrastructure has been modified.
