Is there a way to upgrade HubZero Joomla 1.5 site to HubZero Joomla 2.5? We are encountering issues when trying to upgrade the Joomla software from 1.5 to 2.5. The upgrade does not go smoothly and ends up breaking the plugins and renders the website unusable. Has any one been able to upgrade the HubZero Joomla 1.5 to 2.5?
Secondly, is there a plan to release a HubZero Joomla instance with the updated Joomla 2.5 software?

There is no simple way to upgrade the core joomla to 2.5 on a Hubzero instance. We did a proof of concept port to 1.7 early this year for a hosted hub, it took a fair bit of work to get right and did deal with moving old content as it was for a new hub. We will update and merge that effort into the hubzero core immediately after Hubbub2012 with an eye toward an end of year release.
