Workspace no longer launching
Formatted by their form
I’m using the HUB-in-a-box VM image on vCenter Server. I’m unable to get Workspace to launch anymore. Initially I would get a blank tool window after the message
If your application fails to appear within a minute, troubleshoot this problem.
went away. I thought that was it so I Closed the window. However, one time yesterday I left it alone for several minutes and the X11 session with an xterm in it did appear. I Closed it and it properly cleaned up (removed disk space) after itself. I tried to launch it again to time how long it took to display the xterm, but I could not get it to work again.
If I click on the About tab and then the Tool tab within Workspace I see the messages
Status: Connected to server
then the Tool window gets minimized. After I drag it back to a larger size again I see the following messages
Unable to connect Network error: remote side closed connection
Retry This problem may have been caused by a network glitch. Press Retry to reestablish the network connection.
to signed applet If pushing Retry does not solve the problem, your internet connection may be guarded by a strict firewall. To establish a connection, you must switch to our digitally signed applet and give it permission to run within your browser.
I tried various things like “vzctl stop N”, “vzctl destroy N”, killing off lingering socat processes, rebooting the VM, but to no avail.
What should I be looking at to get Workspace to launch successfully again?
