Updating a Hub's Custom Code - GitLab

The information provided below is for hub's with a version-controlled /app directory.

To update a hub's custom code, found in /app, changes must be included in the hub's GitLab repository.

Sample Process

  1. Commit code changes to a feature branch
    1. Avoid committing code to the development server's master branch.
  2. Push your feature branch to GitLab
  3. Create a merge request from your feature branch to the hub repo's master branch

Monthly Update Considerations

In the event that uncommitted changes are present in the local /app repo of a development server during an update, the changes will be stashed.

The most recent changes will then be pulled from the hub's GitLab repo.
